Individual or team coaching for non contact sports. Examples include: Volleyball, Cricket, Tennis, Golf, Rowing, Swimming, Athletics etc.
Non Contact Sports Coaching
Individual engaged to lead group based training within training facility, or operating boot camp training with minimal equipment.
Group Fitness Instructor / Boot Camp
Individual teaching water-based group classes. This does not include the management/ownership of pool – See Public Pool.
Water Aerobics / Swimming Instructor
Group Based boxing activities, involving bags, pads & mits. Excluding sparring activities. If sparring see Boxing.
Boxercise
Instructor or centre primarily engaged in weight training activities. Individual or group classes.
Weight Lifting
Instructor or centre primarily engaged in group dance classes.
Dance
Individuals involved in 1 on 1 coaching, primarily operating from third party gym, or online.
Personal Trainer / Online Coaching
Group based training facility, incorporating cardio and weightlifting aspects. Typically identify as similar to the likes of F45. Excludes rope Climbing – See Functional Fitness.
Group Fitness Centre
Group based training facility, incorporating cardio and weightlifting aspects including rope climbing.
CrossFit / Functional Fitness
Individual or team coaching for contact sports. Examples include: Basketball, Soccer, Rugby, Soccer.
Contact Sport Coaching
Standard gym where people come to train during fixed operating hours with staff on site at all times. Can include group fitness classes & personal training.
Gym (Fixed Hours)
Standard gym where people come to train, unlimited access without staff on site at all times. Can include group fitness classes & personal training.
Gym (24/7)
Any form of self-defence/offense training including participant to participant contact or sparring.
UFC / MMA / Martial Arts / Boxing
Instructor or centre primarily engaged in group classes.
Gymnastics / Cheerleading / Pole Dancing
Management or operation of public access pool. Can include individual and group classes such learn to swim. If not responcible for management of pool refer to Water Aerobics.
Public Pool
Private or community based club/Facility. Typically engaged in intra/inter club competition and associated training and typically responcible for management of club premises. Individual or group lead activites involving riskier activities, typically not within a controlled environment. Examples include rock climbing, kite surfing, bungy jumping etc.
Adventure Sports

Tours / Travel
Activity centres typically aimed at kids. Can include indoor playgrounds and trampoline centres, through to inflatable water based adventure parks.
